In Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time, Fionna is a fictional character created by the Ice King. She is a gender-bent version of the main character Finn the Human, bearing a striking resemblance to him including a longer version of Finn’s white ear hat and similar clothing.

Fionna resides in her own segment of the show, going on adventures with her traveling companion named Cake and harboring a crush on a being known as the Flame Prince. She might not be entirely real, but she’s a lot of fun!

How to Dress Like Fionna from ‘Adventure Time’

Hair and Headgear:

Fionna has a tuft of long emo-style light blonde hair sticking out from one side of a white rabbit-ear hat she wears around her head. This gives her a distinctive style while still retaining some of the qualities of Finn’s appearance.

To get this look for your costume, you can use either a light blonde wig or a fake blonde clip-in hair extension, both of which you can find through online costume websites, Halloween stores and beauty accessory shops. Comb it to one side and use a large brush to tease it into a bushy style like Fionna’s, using regular hairspray to hold it in place.

For the rabbit-ear hat, browse around online for one online or sew your own using white fabric. Tuck your natural hair inside it the way Fionna does for a more authentic look.

Outfit:

Fiona wears a long-sleeved teal-colored shirt as well as a basic blue denim skirt. Along with this ensemble, she wears white knee-high socks with two light blue stripes at the hem.

Check out your local shopping mall, thrift store or any online retail or wholesale website for these items, or sew your own using any fabric you’d like.

Accessories:

For the finishing touches to your Fionna costume, you’ll need a pair of basic black shoes and a lime green knapsack to wear over your shoulders. You’ll definitely be glad you brought it when it comes time to collecting convention merchandise or trick-or-treat findings!

Search your favorite local shoe shop or online retail website for the shoes. Fionna’s are in a style known as the Mary Jane and can also be substituted with black sneakers or flats.

For the knapsack, check online or at camping supply shops for a bright green one, or use heavy green fabric and sew your own bag.
