How to Dress Like Red Hood
Red Hood Mask / Helmet:
Red Hood’s face and hair are never seen. He wears a shiny red metallic mask that covers his entire face, and sees through opaque white lenses. His mask is similar to the mask Spiderman wears.
If you are trying to make a Red Hood mask yourself, remember that his mask completely hides his nose and mouth!
If you can’t see out of your mask, you can tailor the eye holes to fit your field of vision with a pair of scissors. You can use white see-through mesh netting to cover the eye holes but still be able to see where you’re going.
Shop around online for a package of basic white mesh netting or white pantyhose to cut to fit the mask, and glue it in from the inside to hold it in place. Allow the mask to dry first before putting it on.
Outfit:
Red Hood wears gray tactical pants, a slate-blue zippered shirt underneath with bullet-proof armor and a brown leather aviator jacket.
One great thing about this costume is that if you’re going out when its cold, it’s layered so it’s definitely warm!
Accessories:
Red Hood wears a large black belt with a silver buckle. You can find a belt like this online, at a thrift store or at your favorite clothing shops.
Look around on websites, and meanwhile be sure to buy a pair of plain black leather motorcycle gloves, black combat boots with thick treads and a black holster with a gun. You can find a fake plastic gun at most costume shops.
In some scenes of the film, Red Hood also carries a steel bayonet with a jagged, sharp edge. You can purchase a prop bayonet at most Halloween and costume outlets.
