Daenerys Targaryen Costume Guide

Hair: 

Dany’s hair is impeccable. It’s waist-length, so blonde it’s almost white, and beautifully styled all the time. It’s almost annoying. Unless your locks are just as luscious as Daenerys’s, you can shop online or at a costume shop for a long, blonde-white wig. If you look up photos of her, you can find styling ideas, or if you have knowledge of medieval hairstyles for long hair, that will also serve you well. 

Gowns & Outfits: 

One of Daenerys’ signature looks is the one in the cobalt blue dress. The easiest way to replicate this dress would be to make it or find a local seamstress to make it for you. It’s got a v-neck and cap sleeves. It falls to the back of her calves and has a tulip-opening in the front. She wears leggings underneath. 

If you can’t make one or have access to a seamstress, you can search for one online. She wears a blue cloak over top. 

Don’t stress about getting the dress perfect if you can’t. There are many ways to become Daenerys. If you can find a long, light blue gown and add a lightweight, light blue cloak that will do as well. 

Accessories: 

Finding a little dragon for your shoulder is a great little accessory for becoming Daenerys. You can find one online, at a costume shop, or toy store. 

If you decide to go with the cobalt blue tulip dress and leggings, then you’ll need a pair of knee-high black or dark grey boots. 

If you go with the light blue gown, a simple pair of comfy flats will do just fine.
