How to Dress Like Arthur Morgan from Red Dead Redemption 2
Hair & facial hair:
It’s hard to find a proper place for a cut and a shave out on the range, so Arthur Morgan is pretty unkempt. His hair and facial hair are light brown. His hair, while short, is shaggy and straight. He can grow a full beard and mustache, which range from a 5 o’clock shadow to almost unruly.
You won’t have to worry too much about doing your hair if you’re wearing a hat, and if you can’t grow facial hair you can either shop for some at a costume store or online, or use stage makeup and a stippling sponge for a stubble effect.
Clothes:
You’re going full cowboy, so you’ll want to search for Arthur Morgan’s clothes at a western shop online or near you. You’ll be even better off if you distress them, either naturally or through techniques found online.
He’s got high-waisted dark brown canvas pants and a dark blue denim button-down with thin black stripes. He keeps his britches us with black and grey-striped suspenders that fasten with buttons. A short, black, frayed scarf keeps his neck warm.
Accessories and Props:
A dark brown gunman belt is a must-buy and depending on how real you’d like it to be, you can find one that’s anywhere from functional to a toy in stores and online. If you can find one with a big buckle, you’re in luck. A toy gun to slip into that holster is a good call too. All those boys carried revolvers and so should you. For an extra touch you could add a leather sheath and a fake fixed blade knife, or bowie knife.
He also carries a brown leather satchel with a cross-body strap. He’s a boy scout in that way—he’s always prepared.
Arthur Morgan wears black cowboy boots. You could get away with work boots, but spring for the cowboy boots if you can. You’ll wear them again.
You’ll want to nail the hat. Arthur’s hat is dark brown leather, with a braided leather hatband.
