How to Dress Like Barney Rubble

Becoming Barney:

Barney’s a blonde with short hair. If you can’t style your own hair to achieve his look, you can easily find a wig in a costume shop or online.

If you don’t want to buy the prefabricated Barney Rubble costume online, then you can definitely make it with even the most basic sewing skills. Some light brown fabric sewn up the side and top, with a hole cut out for your head will work perfectly. You’ll want to chop up the bottom to make it look like a prehistoric cat chomped on it. Same with the tops of the shoulders. Use fabric paint to make it look like the top is sewn together with a big X—or actually sew it with some yarn. The cartoony-er the better.
