How to Dress Like Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th

Head: 

All you need for Jason’s head is a hockey mask. Replicas of his specific mask are available online, or you can buy a regular white one and paint it to look more like his. 

Shirt: 

Jason’s jacket is really falling apart, so find a cheap brown jacket at a thrift store and cut it with scissors or an exacto knife and rip it and try to deliberately stain it. Underneath, wear a dark shirt that is also ripped up and grungy. 

Pants:

Jason’s pants are dark and not very form-fitting. You may already own a pair that could work for this costume, but if not, you could find a pair at a thrift store and treat them similarly to the shirt by ripping them up a little and smearing fake blood on them. 

Gloves:

Jason wears thick, dark gloves, almost like a pair of puffy snow gloves. 

Boots:

In the movies, Jason is tramping through the woods wearing a work-wear type of boot. If you own a pair of dark work or hiking boots, you could use those, otherwise check out a shoe store or a thrift store and find some used, beat-up ones. 

Machete:

Costume stores may sell plastic machetes and you can use red paint to make it look bloody. You can also find fake machetes for sale online.
