Mask:
Black Panther wears a black mask complete with sharp pointed ears, white facial stripes and green glass eye covers like that of a cat. Sophisticated and mysterious yet simple, this mask is sold online on most websites, costume shops and Halloween wholesalers.
Or if you are feeling up to the challenge, you can try to sew your own mask. Look for a mask that you can see through easily but that still gives an air of mystery and strength.
Claws:
Part of Black Panther’s iconic look includes sharp steel claws embedded in black gloves. Search online websites and costume sites for Black Panther gloves or make your own using regular black leather gloves and recycled plastic cut into points. Use a screenshot from the film for inspiration as you plan your costume.
Bodysuit:
Black Panther wears a black bodysuit with sleek shiny markings to match his mask. You can purchase this same suit online from a costume vendor, or shop locally at your favorite Halloween store.
If you can’t find one, improvise with a pair of black yoga pants and long-sleeved black shirt, also available for sale online. Use a thick Sharpie marker to draw the same markings on your costume that Black Panther has on his suit.
Boots:
To complete your costume, buy a pair of black boots with silver-tipped toes. These may come either with a pre-made Black Panther costume set online or from a Halloween costume vendor, or you can buy a pair of black rubber rain boots and use silver acrylic paint to complete the toes.
Put three silver stripes (to resemble the paws of a panther) and allow the paint to dry before wearing.
