Beatrix Kiddo Costume Guide

The Bride from Kill Bill: DIY Cosplay

The Bride from Kill Bill, also known as Beatrix Kiddo, is the dictionary definition of bad ass. She used to be Bill’s best assassin until there was a little change in the plan and Beatrix ended up going after Bill himself. She’s known as The Bride because she first appears in a wedding dress, but her iconic outfit is her mustard yellow jumpsuit.

The Bride is played by Uma Thurman. She’s tall, lanky, and blonde. To say she’s skilled in fighting and weaponry would be a gross understatement. She sports a yellow jumpsuit that zips from just below her navel up to her neck with a yellow belt and a straight collar that snaps. There are black racing stripes that run up the arms and legs of the suit as well. And don’t forget your katana.

Items You’ll Need to Complete the Costume:

  • Blonde Wig
  • Yellow Motorcycle Suit
  • Katana
  • Yellow Sneakers

How to Dress Like The Bride from ‘Kill Bill’

Hair:

Beatrix has stick-straight, shoulder-length blonde hair with bangs. If you can’t style your own hair, you can easily find a wig in a costume shop or online and style it to match.

Motorcycle Jumpsuit & Shoes:

There are a couple of different ways to go about getting The Bride’s look. The simplest thing to do is find a pre-fabricated replica of the suit from a costume shop or online.

Another option would be to add the black stripes to a pair of yellow jeans or leggings and a yellow track/denim jacket.

Beatrix also wears a fancy version of Onitsuka Tiger sneakers in yellow with a black stripey logo. If you don’t want to drop the cash on a new pair of shoes, you could find a pair of plain yellow sneakers (like Ked’s) and replicate the black pattern with fabric, fabric paint, or marker.

Katana:

The Bride is not The Bride without her sword. You can find a replica katana like the one she uses to slice up baddies on cosplay sites and retail stores like Amazon. You could also find a prop katana from a costume shop and modify the handle to capture its iconic look from the film.
