Emily the Corpse Bride: DIY Cosplay Guide with Dress
In Tim Burton’s The Corpse Bride, Emily is a living corpse who rises from the dead and proclaims to be the bride of Victor Van Dort. He slipped a ring on her finger mistaking it for a branch as he practiced his vows and Emily has been after him ever since. Having died under traumatic circumstances at the hand of her ex-fiancee, the slain Emily vowed to remain under the tree where she was killed until her true love came to set her free.
Throughout the film Emily wears a ghostly-looking bridal gown trimmed with blue roses. Emily shows signs of decay with blue skin and rotting flesh. Her legs have decayed entirely with only bones visible. She covers her long flowing blue hair with a shawl and a floral headpiece comprised of blue roses.
