Steve Jobs Costume DIY Guide
Learn how to dress like Steve Jobs for cosplay or Halloween

Steve Jobs was the co-founder and CEO of the company that very well may have made whatever screen you are looking at this information on – the iconic Apple Inc. Co-creating his company, Apple Inc, from the ground up, he helped lead the way to make it the huge, well-designed, simple interfaced, culture-driving company that many will pay extra money for. Along with the products he helped make possible, Steve will also be remembered for his iconic black turtleneck.

Steve had very simple style, kind of like the technology he made. He wore a black long-sleeved turtleneck, some light blue colored jeans, and a comfortable pair of tennis shoes.

How to Dress Steve Jobs

Steve wore a simple pair of circle-rimmed glasses. If you find some 70’s “hippie” sunglasses, you can pop the lenses out and that is the shape you are going for. Costume stores may carry glasses like this or you can search online. Steve also had his hair cut very short and was balding a bit at the top and had grey hair. You can get some grey hair dye or spray from a costume store, or sometimes applying baby powder will give you that effect. You can also try posing like his black and white iconic photograph where he looks directly at the camera and holds his chin. (Look it up)

If you already have a plain black turtleneck that is long-sleeved wear that, otherwise you can find one at a department store depending on the season or at a thrift store.

Steve Jobs went for a casual look while revealing the new products; he always seemed to wear a comfy pair of jeans. So probably a comfy pair of lighter-blue jeans that you own will look very similar.

Steve wore comfortable shoes as well, so try to wear a pair of normal-looking tennis shoes that are a muted color like white or grey.

Be sure to bring some Apple technology as a prop! You can show off your iPhone or an old iPod, or whatever else you want to introduce the world to.
