How to Dress Like Ant-Man
Mask:
Ant-man wears a mask that keeps him safe during his fights. It’s made out of metal, but that’s way too heavy for us to wear on our heads of course, so you can make this helmet out of cardboard and paint it (or spray paint it) a metallic silver color to resemble the original material. Then paint two vertical stripes on top of the eyes in red paint. Paint a thin line of silver on the edges of the red stripes.
To make the eyes you can simply cut out two holes where your eyes are on your mask and insert red clear plastic in them to give it that red Ant-man look, and you’ll still be able to see through the plastic when wearing the mask.
Suit:
This superhero wears a leather black suit with some red on the chest, shoulders, knees and outer thighs. It’s tight and form fitting and it always makes the hero look ready for action.
The suit is the key of the costume! You can use black leather pants and a leather long sleeve shirt or zip up sweater. Sew on the dark red material in the right shapes onto the chest, outer thighs, knees and shoulders.
You should tuck your top into your pants and wear a belt to achieve the striking suit Ant-man wears.
If you want to take your costume to a whole other level, we suggest you stuff the costume to look just as buff and fit as the amazing superhero. This can also help to make the costume more form fitting and tight on you.
Another thing you can do is just very lightly spray paint your suit with metallic silver paint to get your black leather a bit more shine and a more metallic look.
Shoes:
Pair your suit with some black leather shoes or boots. They will look very similar to Ant-man’s footwear.
Gloves:
The last part of this outfit is super easy. Wear some black leather gloves and spray paint the top of them a silver metallic color.
