How to Dress Like Zapp Brannigan
Hair:
Zapp has a thick head of bleached blonde hair in a pompadour style haircut. You can cut your hair and dye it in this style, or buy a light blonde wig and cut it to suit your costume. Use gel or hairspray to hold it in place.
Outfit:
Zapp’s outfit consists of a red uniform coat with gold accents and sharp points at the shoulders which gives him the look of a dignified military man from the waist up. Browse various clothing websites to find a red blazer and modify it to look like Brannigan’s.
No Pants!?
Yup, Zapp Brannigan has a problem with pants, and doesn’t wear them. For the purposes of a costume though, you could just wear red shorts under your shirt. Check online clothing websites for a good pair that will blend in with your shirt.
Accessories:
To complete the authentic look of your costume, get some white gloves and white vinyl boots. Many online costume websites carry vinyl platform boots, and don’t forget to get gloves that have the same slick plastic sort of look.
Zapp’s boots have triangular slits cut in the top of them. You can customize a pair of white boots yourself or shop online for a pair that has the same upper cuts as Zapp’s.
