To most people, Gustavo “Gus” Fring is a kind, straight-laced restaurant owner, but to others who know his secret, he is the head of his own self-made illegal drug empire. His button-up shirts and khaki pants help him look like the opposite of what he actually is, allowing him to work closely with Walter White and make a lot of money off of drugs in the series Breaking Bad.

Gus has a very inconspicuous and a little generic style. He wears a button up short-sleeve shirt with a tie and his khaki pants and looks like a clean-cut owner of his restaurant, Los Pollos Hermanos.

How to Dress Like Gus Fring from Breaking Bad

Head:

Gus Fring wears a simple pair of glasses. Use your own or you can pop out the lenses of a pair of reading glasses from a drugstore or a thrift store.

In one pivotal and gruesome seen, Walter White finally gets the best of Fring by improvising an explosive to take him out. To maximize the effect of the Gus Fring costume, use liquid latex (and the makeup tutorial posted above) to recreate the look.

Shirt:

Purchase a short or long-sleeve, light yellow, button-up shirt and make sure it’s not wrinkly. Wear it tucked into the pants and wear a black tie.

Pants:

Wear a pair of simple khaki pants with a brown leather belt.

Shoes:

Gus wears simple brown work shoes. You may already have a pair that could work.

Optional: Los Pollos Hermanos Apron, To-Go Bag and Cup

Gus Fring fronts as owner of a Los Pollos Hermanos fast food franchise. When he’s not brutally managing his crystal meth operation, he’s wearing an apron while managing his local restaurant.

Use a white paper bag and/or an empty fast-food cup with lid and straw. Print out the Los Pollos Hermanos Logo on a color printer. Cut out the logo and glue or tape it onto the bag and/or cup. Carry them around as a prop.
