How to Dress Like Walter White / Heisenberg from ‘Breaking Bad’
Face:
Walter White’s look evolved along with his trajectory from chemistry teacher to Heisenberg.
In the beginning of the series, Walter looks a bit like Ned Flanders from the Simpsons. He has a ginger mop on his head with a thick mustache. Once he is diagnosed with cancer and starts chemo treatment, he decides to shave his head and take on a more menacing look. He grows his mustache into a full fleshed-out goatee which adds a touch of menace to his appearance.
To replicate this look, you can shave your head and grow your beard out into the same style or buy a bald cap and fake beard.
He also wears a pair of large aviator-style wire-rimmed glasses. But when he takes on the Heiseinberg persona, he wears a pair of black sunglasses to obscure his identity.
Heisenberg Hat:
As Heisenberg, Walter wears a black fedora hat. Check online websites or party stores for a good wide-brimmed black fedora.
Clothes:
Walter’s two most iconic outfits are his bright yellow HAZMAT (hazardous materials) safety suit (which he wears in the lab) and his black jacket and dark pants ensemble.
You can choose whichever outfit you prefer.
If you’d rather be the Walter dressed down for work, you can purchase a yellow suit online. Check out online retail websites like Amazon for a HAZMAT suit or search for a Walter White costume suit. Local Halloween stores may also carry them, or you can use thin yellow rubber fabric to make your own suit from scratch.
Add a finishing touch with Walter’s infamous gas mask. His mask has purple filters and covers his mouth and nose. You can buy one online or from an army surplus or workplace supply warehouse. Some costume shops may also sell them.
If you’d prefer to be the Walter who’s dressed up in his every day attire, you can purchase a thick black jacket, black shoes, a gray button-down cotton shirt and gray dress pants online from any clothing website, or from your local mall.
