Mermaid Man: DIY Cosplay
Mermaid Man, once a super famous hero in Bikini Bottom, is a geriatric retiree who spends his golden years lounging around the retirement home reminiscing about his glory days with sidekick Barnacle Boy. In his prime, Mermaid Man had an exquisite physique and was feared for his physical prowess. As an elderly man he has gone from fit to flabby, but that hasn’t stopped him from wearing his old superhero costume!
Mermaid Man wears a distinctive orange and green costume which bares a striking similarity to Aquaman’s outfit. His outfit consists of black and green tights, green gloves and an orange long-sleeved shirt with a yellow belt held together with a big “M” shaped buckle. A purple seashell bra tops off the look. His nose is covered by a purple starfish which gives him the ability to breathe underwater. Due to his advanced age and arthritic feet, he also wears a pair of pink fluffy slippers.
